The Certified Medical Assistant primarily assists in patient care preparation, provides care coordination, handles clinical documentation, and performs various clinical support functions within a physician practice office. Responsibilities include administering injections, performing medical testing like EKGs, scheduling procedures, and maintaining clinical and office areas.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course, along with current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant status and Basic Life Support certification. While no minimum experience is required, one or more years of Medical Office experience is preferred.
