The role involves completing individualized patient evaluations and collaborating with medical teams to develop and implement care plans. Responsibilities also include providing, documenting, and directing skilled therapeutic care to ensure patient progress and educating patients and families on rehabilitation techniques.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and obtaining the BLS Provider certification within one month of hire. Candidates must also obtain Occupational Therapy credentialing from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners within six months of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Complete individualized patient evaluations and participate in developing and implementing individual care plans through collaboration with physicians and patient care teams, including patient and family. Provide, document and direct skilled and purposeful therapeutic care to progress the patient through their plan of care. Instruct and educate patient/family/caregivers in the use of therapy and compensatory rehabilitation in relation to their diagnosis. Prioritize caseload, determine patient care needs and coordinate with therapy and medical staff for appropriate assignments/handoff.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
