The role involves formulating, executing, and evaluating individualized respiratory care protocols, alongside managing advanced respiratory modalities and specialized equipment. Responsibilities also include documenting patient status, assessing treatment efficacy, providing patient education, and participating in emergency resuscitation teams.
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience OR an Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of specific job experience, along with required BLS certification within one month of hire. Candidates must also possess the Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from Indiana and obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing from NBRC within one year, with Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications being preferred.

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
