The Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect care to patients, including assistance with nutrition, hygiene, and safety. They perform these duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D and a valid Florida CNA license. Nursing students may also qualify if they have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course.
The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values.
High school diploma or G.E.D required. Florida CNA license required. Hospital PCT/CNA experience preferred. Nursing students: Currently enrolled in a Nursing program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (must submit unofficial transcript with application).
