The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will administer occupational therapy under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, which includes completing screenings, obtaining consent, and performing treatments following the established plan of care. Responsibilities also involve accurate daily billing, comprehensive documentation of resident progress, and participation in various facility meetings and discharge planning.
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant school and hold a current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, along with a current BLS certification. The role requires demonstrating professional, ethical, and efficient care appropriate to the age of residents served, along with reliable transportation for potential travel between facilities.
