Performs MRI scans at the direction of physician protocol while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Collaborates with clinical staff to provide quality images and accurate diagnostic information.
Requires completion of an accredited 2-year program in Radiologic, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Sonography technology. Must hold or be eligible for relevant certifications such as ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or ARDMS and maintain BLS certification.
Weekend/Holiday rotation required for full and part-time positions. Will consider new graduates.
Education Associate's Degree Completion of an accredited 2 year program in a school of Radiologic, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required) or Other Accredited Program: Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography with current ARDMS certificate (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience MR scanning experience. (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of radiology information system. (Required proficiency) Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machine and emergency equipment.
