The Recovery Coach provides trauma-informed individual services to women, developing and monitoring recovery plans to support abstinence and self-efficacy. They also facilitate medication-assisted therapy groups and link clients to essential healthcare and recovery support services.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree in human services preferred. A CADC certification is required, along with strong documentation skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Description Provides trauma-informed individual services to adult, substance-using women by following evidence-based practices; assists clients in building recovery resources; and develops individual Recovery Plans that help clients enhance self-efficacy, maintain abstinence in treatment, reduce HIV risk and/or transmission behaviors, and continue recovery post-treatment.
Engage PPW clients in treatment through motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement techniques Work with clients in develop a Recovery Plan that addresses their comprehensive needs Implements Contingency Management in accordance with project protocols Use client-centered and self-directed approaches to recovery planning Link clients to recovery support services and, as needed, HIV case management and care Assist the clients in connecting with a Primary Healthcare Physician for continued Medication Assisted Therapy Facilitate the Medication Assisted Therapy Alumni groups Ensure the client understands the Medication Assisted Therapy contract Meet with clients at least once a week to ensure implementation of the Recovery Plan Assist clients in accessing other services, both on and off site, to meet their additional needs Collaborate with clients to engage family members in recovery planning Monitor client progress Manage, track, and update individual recovery portfolios Ensure sustained recovery post-treatment for at least one year Adhere to the Recovery Coach curriculum to its fidelity Have strong documentation skills; this position requires extensive documentation of required activities, strong data entry skills (NextGen/Service logs, SAIs) are also required
Ability to work with diverse populations, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations Comfortable working independently in community settings Able to work flexible hours High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred Knowledge of substance abuse treatment or related field CADC required Proficiency in reading and writing Able to work effectively on a team Computer literacy is mandatory
