Job Summary

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6

30am - 3:00pm, working 36 - 40 hours per week based on staffing needs.

• The Perioperative CNA provides essential clinical and environmental support within the perioperative environment.
• This role helps to focus on ensuring efficient room turnovers and safe patient care and transport.
• The assistant works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to facilitate high-quality patient outcomes and streamlined surgical workflow.
• The Perioperative CNA performs duties related to patient care consistent with hospital policies, as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assists with pre-operative transfer of patients to preoperative area, pre-surgical prep, positioning assistance, OR room turnover, and supply management.
• Duties can be expanded as necessary.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or GED required

Licensures/ Certifications

• Current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
• Current American Heart Association’s BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period.

Experience

• Medical background and previous hospital experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to take direction and follow through
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods (8-10 hours)
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy equipment and patients.
• Frequent bending, reaching and stooping required for room turnover and patient positioning
