The Medical Assistant performs patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs and assisting providers with procedures. They are also responsible for preparing exam rooms and documenting patient information in the EMR system.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid CMA or CNA license in Washington. A current BLS/CPR certification and one year of experience in a physician office or ambulatory care facility are required.

The Medical Assistant performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician, mid-level provider or RN. Duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information including vital signs; assisting providers with procedures; advocating for patients; preparing exam rooms; documenting in the EMR according to TSMH policy and procedures.
• One year physician office, hospital, or ambulatory care facility experience required.
