Responsibilities
- Assist radiologists during interventional procedures, including setting up sterile fields and maintaining aseptic technique
- Scrub, operate imaging equipment, and ensure proper acquisition of interventional radiology images (Siemens Artis systems)
- Monitor patient status during procedures, respond to requests, and document procedural details
- Ensure safety protocols, radiation protection, and equipment readiness for scheduled cases
- Perform post-procedure care tasks as directed and assist with transport and handoff to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate case logs, verify patient information, and support documentation of contrast usage and outcomes
Requirements
- Licenses/certifications: ARRT Radiography certification/licensure (in hand); Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (can apply once offered)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years IR experience with scrub experience required; 3 years IR experience and large-hospital exposure (peripheral and neurovascular) preferred
- Travel/assignment readiness: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume IR environment; on-call as needed; weekends not required
- Credentials: Credentials due 1 week prior to start (by the Monday of the week before assignment)
- Orientation requirements: Attend orientation every Monday and Tuesday; participate in nursing orientation Wednesday–Friday (bi-weekly)
