Must hold an MD or DO degree with a completed accredited residency in Emergency Medicine and an active Louisiana medical license. Requires 1-3 years of clinical experience and board certification or eligibility.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating patients in urgent need of medical attention. Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages Perform thorough assessments and prioritize patient treatment based on urgency Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to design patient care plans Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately Manage acute illnesses and injuries in a time-sensitive environment Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department Educate patients and families about treatment options and follow-up care Comply with all medical protocols and hospital policies
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree Completion of accredited residency in Emergency Medicine Active medical license to practice in the state of Louisiana 1-3 years of experience in a clinical emergency medicine setting Strong clinical skills and ability to make decisions under pressure Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 8a-8a
Average Daily Volume: 34-45 patients
Annual Volume: 12K patients
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
