The Medical Assistant supports providers by greeting patients, managing patient flow, and assisting with clinical procedures using sterile techniques. They are also responsible for documenting patient charts, recording vitals, and maintaining a clean, compliant clinical environment.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably a degree from an accredited Medical Assisting program or at least two years of clinical experience. Proficiency in medical terminology, HIPAA/OSHA regulations, and Microsoft Office is required.
The Medical Assistant works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Provider(s), to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques
