Responsible for providing direct clinical and clerical care to patients in an office or ambulatory setting. Collaborates with the healthcare team to meet total patient needs and maintain practice standards.
Requires a high school diploma, completion of a formal MA program, and previous clinical experience in primary care. Certification as a Medical Assistant and BLS certification are required within a specified timeframe after hire.
TITLE: Medical Assistant – MHW
Department: Healthcare Practice
Day shift. However, position may require evening and weekend hours. Hours may be variable to meet office/patient needs. Location may be variable. Hours may be adjusted in response to workload demands.
Responsible for the direct care of patients presenting themselves in an office, ambulatory setting. Involved in clerical services and clinical responsibilities. Cooperates with all members of the health team to meet total patient needs.
