Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures in the OR.
• Collaborate with all members of the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in surgical techniques, sterile processing, Endoscopy, and materials management across relevant departments.
• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis; communicate breaks in technique to the circulating RN and surgeons.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is in the room prior to case start; operate electro-surgical, diagnostic, and imaging equipment safely.
• Contribute to room readiness and equipment setup; assist with safe handling of specialized surgical equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Certification as an OR Surgical Technician (or equivalent) required
• Current CPR certification required
• Orthopedic OR experience required
• Ability to work in a high-demand surgical environment with strict adherence to aseptic principles
