The Cytologist is responsible for processing, screening, and performing diagnostic cytology testing following laboratory protocols. The role ensures high-quality care and experience for patients and their families through accurate diagnostic work.
Requires a baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or graduation from an accredited school of Cytotechnology. ASCP certification is mandatory, though new graduates have 18 months to obtain it.

This position processes, screens and performs diagnostic cytology testing in accordance with laboratory protocol.
• A baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or graduate from a school of Cytotechnology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation which would include a combination of certification in Cytotechnology, education and experience.
• American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification is required. New graduates must attain certification within 18 months of hire.
