The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients with physical impairments and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and relieve pain. They also supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students while collaborating with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
Candidates must hold a current state license as a Physical Therapist and a graduate degree from an accredited program. Preferred qualifications include clinical experience, specialization in areas like sports medicine or pediatrics, and proficiency with EMR systems.
As a Physical Therapist, you will use a variety of skills on a daily basis, including evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, monitoring progress, and educating patients and their families. You will also need strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide compassionate care to patients. Additionally, experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and specialization in a specific area of Physical Therapy can be beneficial in this role.
