The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide advanced clinical care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care while promoting patient wellness, disease prevention, and health education. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Patient Management Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Prescribe medications, therapies, and other interventions within scope of practice Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Provide preventive care services, screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling Patient Education & Care Coordination Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health strategies Promote healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention initiatives Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care Facilitate referrals and follow-up care when appropriate Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice programs Leadership & Team Support Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and support staff Assist with onboarding and training of new clinical team members Support departmental quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
Required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing National board certification in an applicable specialty (Family, Adult-Gerontology, Women's Health, or related field) DEA registration and prescriptive authority as required Current BLS certification Preferred ACLS certification, depending on specialty area Previous Nurse Practitioner clinical experience Experience in women's health, obstetrics, gynecology, or primary care Strong new graduates with relevant clinical training are encouraged to apply Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Sound clinical judgment and decision-making Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a healthcare team Strong organizational and documentation skills Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
