The Residential Medication Support Specialist is a direct-care staff role responsible for supporting the safe and compliant management of medications within a residential substance use disorder (SUD) program. This position ensures proper storage, handling, and documentation of medications in accordance with BSAS standards, while assisting clients with medication self-administration as appropriate and coordinating with providers, pharmacies, and program staff.
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working with substance addiction population preferred. Medication Specialist training certificate approved by BSAS required (or willingness to obtain during orientation), with annual recertification thereafter. CPR, First Aid, and Narcan certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to or upon hire). Possession of a valid driver's license, held for a minimum of six months, and an acceptable driving record in accordance with agency policy and applicable state regulations is preferred.
