The technician is responsible for administering radio isotopes and performing various nuclear cardiac scans and stress tests on outpatients. They also handle the computer processing and analysis of all resulting test data.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and hold a New Jersey licensure in Radiology Technology. Certification from ARRT or NMTCB, as well as BLS and IV certifications, are required within 12 months of hire.
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, start intravenous and administer recommended amount of radio isotope. Performs stress testing, along with a variety of Nuclear Cardiac scanning on outpatients. Completes computer processing and analysis of all test data.
