The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works with radiologists to obtain high-quality images and provide exceptional patient care. They ensure patient safety and comfort, explain procedures, and prioritize workflow based on patient conditions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program, with 2 years of preferred experience. Registry eligibility and the ability to complete skills validation and competency testing are also required.
Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required. Cleans examination surfaces between patients. Provides clean linen including sheets, gowns, pillowcases, and towels. Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions. Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
Education: High School Diploma and successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
