The Medical Assistant 2 will support Physicians and mid-level providers by performing clinical duties such as preparing rooms, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and assisting with procedures under provider direction. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling outside studies, managing referrals, communicating with providers, and handling patient portal communications.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, requiring current certification or the ability to obtain it within 120 days, along with CPR certification. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of patient care experience, orthopedic experience, and NextGen proficiency.

As a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant 2 at OAM, your daily duties will vary depending on the doctor and specialty you are working with, but the excellent care you provide patients will remain the same no matter where you are stationed within the company. You will support Physicians, mid-level providers, RNs, Athletic Trainers, etc. with providing the best patient care possible and assist with clerical and administrative tasks related to the patient.
