(SAMGI) Location: Amarillo, TX Hospital: Northwest Texas Healthcare System Position Overview Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) program at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX. Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, with a residency program launching July 2026 in partnership with Texas Tech. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a well-supported, team-based environment managing a broad range of trauma and acute surgical patients.
Program Highlights Level II Trauma Center with high level of acuity Dedicated Trauma and ACS service On-site clinic space
Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage trauma and ACS patients across ED, inpatient, and ICU settings Assist with procedures and perioperative care Participate in consults, admissions, and daily rounding Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in discharge planning and care coordination Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation
