Job description

Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Fort Bragg, California. Start date 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $1,760–$1,778 per week. 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts (3 days per week). General acute care hospital setting providing care to a mixed medical-surgical patient population.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to standards of care and the nursing process.
Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, administer medications, and monitor responses; document findings in the medical record.
Coordinate with other disciplines and supervise activities of various levels of nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and support teams to optimize outcomes and ensure safe transitions of care.
Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning.
Work on a general acute care med-surg unit with a mix of medical and surgical patients, using critical thinking and independent judgment in daily care.

Requirements

Active California RN license (or eligibility).
BLS certification (American Heart Association). - 1+ year of medical-surgical/acute care nursing experience preferred.
ASN or BSN in Nursing.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting and adapt to unit needs.
